Using the Zmud for Guiding.

  • Guiding with the Zmud is simply a matter of pushing buttons.
  • When you "OFFER GUIDE" the system will sense that the individual accepts and prepare itself for guiding.
  • If it is not already pushed, push the button that says GUIDE.
  • You will then be asked for the Newbie Name and Your own Name.
  • From that point forward, all you need do is press the NEXT Lesson button to go from one lesson to the next.
  • You will also see buttons for PREVIOUS to go back one or more lessons in case the newbie missed it. For REPEAT to repeat the same lesson, and for PREVIEW so that you can look at what the next lesson will be before you say it.
  • Also on the Status line, you will see the NAME of the newcomer and the NEXT lesson that will be taught.
  • You can at any time enter other commands in the command line without interfereing with the lessons. Use this for the off the wall questions, cheering the newcomer and such.
  • You will find some other interesting help if you Right Click on the window. (Doubleclick someones name to highlight it, right click on the desktop, click Rename to give them the rename message.)
  • If you need to quit guiding someone, or they leave before guiding is completed, just click the GUIDE button to turn everything off and reset it.

Any questions can be asked of Arena or Garek. This is of course simply a tool that is offered for your use, you can still type it all by hand, or create your own aliases in another client.
