The intrique! The romance! Ooo la la, the scandals! Oui, j'aime Paris! Oh, the scandals.... It seems that one of our dearest clergy members made a scandalous confession in the garden of The Horse Guards to one of the most distinguished ladies of the court! If I remember correctly he said that her being married was the only thing that keeps him in the church! Perhaps it was the claret speaking but what a subject to chew over! Oi, if only I could capture his attention like that! He would be quite a dashing catch! Oui, he would! Speaking of catches... There seems to have been another surprising revelation at this party. It is reported that the Minister of State was seen cavorting with one of our very own Grande Archduchess'! Cross this gentleman off your list ladies.....it seems he's taken a fancy for orange blossoms, and about time too! I always thought they would be good together! Never fear... I was walking down the street one day and my eyes fell on a rather handsome Viscomte recently returned to our fair city! Oui! The lady love he left behind seems to have taken a leave of absence so perhaps one of our fair young ladies might sneak in and capture his attention! I will certainly try my hand at it! Oui, I shall! Another possibility... It seems that one of Paris' young ladies has disappeared without a trace, leaving her charming young Marquis to console himself. I dont know about you ladies, but I am considering picking up the pieces of his heart myself if his lady love does not return soon! Oh oui! How exciting to have some possible prospects on the single market! The choices! Paris! She's a lady of intrigue mon Paris... I was observing a recent flag quest outside the window and what do I see!?... a blue streak past and chased by what appeared to be a wild banshee wielding daggers, aiming for her target's bottom! Oui! Tis true! To think this rather sweet woman could turn so crazed! I even heard her making battle cries that could curl Josephine's toes! I will certainly start guarding my own precious tush much more closely around that dagger-happy Archduchess! Speaking of surprises... I was witness to quite an intriguing scene in the Louvre! It seems that a recently divorced couple has decided to make a go of it again! The way they were kissing in front of the Counsellor was quite shocking! Moreover, he did not seem to blink an eye at it! I spoke to him privately about the matter and he confided that it was mortifying but he has seen worse displays of affection! It certainly gives us something to think about over our wine, no? ~Live every moment and enjoy it as if you will get none tomorrow! I wish you a very fond adieu until our next meeting!
