Tip:
Kill stuff and keep your honour way up there, you never know
when you'll die. Lost honour may result in lost rank.

Definition:
Military rank is bestowed upon worthy members of a regiment and requires a
base level of honour to qualify for. You can only gain military rank while
within a regiment, though it is possible to hold onto rank when unregimented
- the rank will become active again when you next join up. Below is a list of
ranks, honour required to hold that rank, and the maximum number of that rank
allowed in a regiment.
Private requires no honour. 72 allowed in a regiment.
Sergeant requires ten honour. 75 allowed in a regiment.
Warrant-officer requires twenty five honour. 12 allowed in a regiment.
Subaltern requires fifty honour. 6 allowed in a regiment.
Captain requires one hundred honour. 4 allowed in a regiment.
Major requires two hundred and fifty honour. 2 allowed in a regiment.
Lt Colonel requires five hundred honour. 1 allowed in a regiment.
Colonel requires ten hundred honour. 1 allowed in a regiment.
The above honour requirements are for the lowest ranking regiments. The higher
ranking regiments require more honour per position, to a maximum of five
times the numbers shown for the most elite regiments. A miminum social level
is required for all commissions (ranks of Subaltern and above), and a minimum
social level may be required to even join the regiment.
Honour is bestowed for bravery in the field of combat. To apply for a new
military position, type APPLY FOR followed by the name of the military rank
you wish to apply for. You cannot apply for a military rank if you have
shame. Your application will be posted around the regiment ready for those of
sufficient rank (either the regimental commander or anybody of three or more
ranks above you) to promote you.
There are a few futher ranks, those of Brigadier-General, Major-General,
Lieutenant-General, General and Marshal de France. These form the staff
positions in the Army. Futher information on them will appear shortly. |
