PIETY POINTS

Tip:
Attend mass regularly for more piety points.

Definition:
Mass is a gathering of Worshippers who congregate in a Church to listen to the words of wisdom of a member of the Clergy (usually a Priest or higher). The Priest and his aides will give praise to the Lord and blessings and prayers will be uttered. It is a communal ceremony, and Communion is often held during mass. Sometimes hymns will be sung, and prayers for the weak and needy of the congregation will be said. A collection plate is passed around, and those attending Mass are expected to donate a few spare Livres to the worthy cause of the Church.

There are two types of Mass. Low Mass and High Mass.

Low mass:

This is the most common Mass, which may be performed by a Priest or high with two aides. You will receive 10 Piety Points for attending Low Mass, which lasts for 10 minutes.

High Mass:

High Mass may only be held in a Cathedral, and must be performed by a Dean or greater with five aides, at least one being a Father. High Masses are rare and the turnout is usually much greater than for Low Mass, which tends to be a more local ceremony. Lords, Nobles and commoners alike will attend to listen to the wise words of one of the higher ranking members of the Clergy. On occasion the King or the Cardinal themselves may attend High Mass, along with other great citizens. You will receive 15 Piety Points for attending High Mass, which lasts for 15 minutes.
