Tip:
Social points can be accumilated in three ways: Through carousing,
toadying and by occupying positions in the King's Court or
Church.

Definition:
There are 100 social levels within Age of the Throne. 1 representing
the lowliest peasant, 100 representing an individiual with
city-wide renown. Advancement through the levels cannot be
obtained quickly; it takes a good amount of time for your
reputation to develop within the city.
Social
level is gained in one way: through accumilation of social
points. At the end of each game month (approximately one real
week), your social level is evaluated. You need 1000 social
points for each social level you have to obtain the next level.
If you do not manage to advance a social level at the end
of the week, you need 250 social points for each of your levels
to remain at your current level. These social points are subtracted
from your total. If you cannot meet these requirements, your
social status will dwindle slightly and you will lose a social
level, and your social points will be reduced to zero.
You can
go up by a maximum of five social levels per month, though
if you do this, the cost per extra level increases significantly
each time. This is automatic if you have the social points
to do it. It is not possible to hold onto large numbers of
social points over time either, this is because upon reflection,
once society has noticed you, you can go no futher.
