The
Commisisoner for Public safety is responsible for ensuring the
safety of the residents of Paris, this is done by ensuring that
the criminals are locked safely up in the Bastille, or in corruption
cases, that the office holder is dismissed. The Commissioner
may file cases against individuals, 'lose' evidence in cases
not filed by him originally (so as to ensure the guilty go to
prison), and choose the punishment of those found guilty by
the court on cases that the Commissioner filed originally. The
position lasts for one year; at the first of July, the Commssioner
retires. If the Commissioner leaves before this period (resignation,
dismissal, or a successful challenge for the position) the incumbent
is executed (though with no star loss) |
