Royal
Foot Guards
Rue de Beauvans
(Clisson)
|
Clisson
is mighty wolfhound whose frightening bulk is made more fearsome
by his keen snout and rows of sharp teeth. Ever alert, he spends
his days patrolling the regimental home snuffling for enemies. |
Cardinal's
Foot Guards
Rue de Rouure
(Quentin) |
Most
unusual of the regimental mascots, Quentin the tarantula crawls
slowly around. His sole task of hunting is made even easier
by the regiment, who regularly feed him pigeons. |
King's
Musketeers
Rue de Poulies
(Dampierre) |
Dampierre
is a mighty lion, donated to the regiment by Treville, the last
great leader. Although he is no longer on his African soil,
Dampierre has adapted to his new environment remarkably and
patrols the regimental house with all the elegance that nature
bestowed upon him. A glance at his huge paws and fearsome teeth
suggest it is desirable to have Dampierre as a friend, rather
than an enemy. |
|
Cardinal's
Guard
Rue de Richelieu
(Edward)
|
Edward
is a crow of ancient years. He plucks at his now thinning feathers,
repeatedly checking for insects and bugs that would feed on
his flesh. His bright eyes regard you with a cunning intelligence,
leaving you to wonder whether this crow could be one of the
Cardinal's many spies. |
Dragoon
Guards
Rue de Feure
(Phoebe) |
Phoebe
is a young goat, neatly trimmed with long dirty white hair that
drapes down to her feet. (Is more interesting when dead - go
figure.) |
Queen's
Own Cuirassiers
Rue de 13th Vingts
(Queenie) |
Queenie
is a magnificently trimmed poodle, who sits regarding you with
large black, hopeful eyes. She wears a sash of crimson-gold,
the uniform of the regiment. Before you turn your gaze away,
Queenie wags her tail at you, suggesting food would be rewarded
with a friendly lick. |
Crown
Prince Cuirassiers
Rue de la Vererie
(Jarnac) |
Jarnac
is middle-aged donkey. The black cross on his back that is his
birthright symbolises the religion and beliefs of the Regiment's
founder. He smells visciously and needs constant attention. |
Archduc
Leopold Cuirassiers
Rue Saifeur
(Marcel) |
Marcel
is a black ape. Though his hairy form bears striking resemblance
to a sack of potatoes, the ugly bulges under his skin are infact
multitudes of solid muscle. Marcel regards you with an intelligence
which suggests the unfamiliar should remain cautious in his
presence. |
Grand
Duc Max's Dragoons
Rue du Perche
(Henri) |
Henri
is a small dachshund, his health is evident by his shiny black
and brown fur. He excitably jumps about your legs in the irritable
manner of a creature with seemingly endless energy. |
Princess
Louisa's Dragoons
Rue des Esruues
(Cookie) |
Cookie
is a magnificent parrot who was a gift to the regiment from
an anonymous admirer from foreign lands. Occasionally he will
repeat phrases or words uttered, and has been a source of endless
amusement to members of the regiment during recreational hours.
As you stand admiring him Cookie ruffles his blue and green
feathers theatrically. |

Royal
Marines
Rue St. Magloine
(Asmodeus) |
Asmodeus
is a great python of several feet in length and of weighty girth.
Though he spends most of his days lying still in the sun, his
small tongue flicking in and out of his mouth as he smells his
surroundings for prey, you have no doubt that if provoked he
could rear up in a fearsome manner. |
Picardy
Musketeers
Rue du Saint Louys
(Godfrey) |
Godfrey
is a small white rabbit. Why the Picardy Musketeers chose him
as a mascot is not commonly known, but Godfrey enjoys his life
of luxury that is afforded him. His whiskers twitch as he chews
on his daily carrot. |
13th
Fusiliers
Rue Aprie
(Hugh) |
Hugh is a large St. Bernard, his shabby mass increased by the
many left overs which Hugh is fed by the members of the regiment.
He slobbers constantly, why Hugh is affored such high protection
and regard by the 13th Fusiliers is beyond you, but nevertheless
he is dear to the hearts of many people. |
53rd
Fusiliers
Rue Valene
(Sapphire) |
Sapphire
is siamese cat of excellent breeding. Her bright eyes and elegant
stance are identical to those of her larger cousins in the wild.
She would be deadly if she were just a little larger, but unfortunately
her most deadly attack would be to purr and appeal to the attackers
sense of pity. |
27th
Musketeers
Rue Paradis
(Nelson) |
Nelson
is a large stallion of good racing breeding. He is well groomed
with well muscled flanks and a fine coat of hair. He stands
17 hands tall and would be an excellent mount for a lone vagabond. |
|
69th
Arquebusiers
Rue de Rouure
(Raglan)
|
Raglan
is a mountain sheep, and was a gift to the regiment from a duke
of Poland, whose life was once saved by a regiment member. The
tough twisted horns on his head would be a powerful weapon were
the sheep to gain sufficient speed with which to butt its enemies. |
Gascon
Regiment
Rue d'orleans
(Isabelle) |
Isabelle
is an eagle owl, largest of the owls to be found in the Forests
surrounding Paris. Her head sits motionless whilst her body
tilts back and forth, a talent evolved from years of sitting
in the windy forest eaves. The large claws Isabelle uses to
grip her perch could easily be turned into sharp, deadly weapons,
you suspect. The brightness of Isabelle's orange eyes is unnerving,
so steadfast is her gaze. |
