Ranged
Weapons & Projectiles
|
Ranged
weapons such as longbows and crossbows are very common among
the city and not always used for combat. Royal hunts require
that you use archery weapons only. Inexpensive and yet effective,
ranged weapons are handy on the frontlines for attacking and
doing considerable damage to any enemy not within the immediate
vacinity. Not all weapons cause health damage and for this
reason (also for a cheap laugh) we've encluded projectiles
--- the kind that loses one social points instead of health
points.

Description |
| Longbow |
The
longbow is six feet long and fashioned from the wood of a yew
tree. It would take a strong man to take full advantage of the
bow's power, for the bow string is highly taught even now. A
soft leather grip is tied to the centre of the bow. |
Arrow
|
Beautifully
straight, this arrow has been whittled from the toughened
wood of an ancient tree with the best stiff gease feathers
for a flight. The arrow tip is crafted from steel and is deadly
sharp. The result is a potentially lethal projectile.
|
Directions
on use:
To use the longbow you must first WIELD LONGBOW, then
DRAW LONGBOW. Be sure you're carrying the correct ammo
for a longbow. You then must AIM target. Once your target
is properly aimed at, you then SHOOT target. |
| Crossbow |
The crossbow is a sturdy weapon with a powerful winding mechanism
which is gives it more power than any other hand-held device.
The bow is loaded by winding the torque based cocking device
on the front. It is heavy, and sits in a mans arm. |
Bolt
|
This
small but lethal bolt is made from thicker wood than an arrow,
for it will be launched with greater force. The bolt is tipped
with steel and is deadly sharp. |
Directions
on use:
To use the crossbow you must first WIELD CROSSBOW, then
COCK CROSSBOW. Be sure you're carrying the correct ammo
for a crossbow. You then must AIM target. Once your target
is properly aimed at, you then SHOOT target. |
